Well, the rainy season began today in Sacramento. We're also a little behind schedule. Our rough frame inspection should happen end of September of very early October. Drywall will take about two weeks (after we pass rough frame). Cabinets are next, scheduled for Oct 15-16. Then we've got counter tops and floor (tile), which will probably take a week or two. We've also got finish plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, much of which can run in parallel with tiling.

[...] Our HVAC contractor, Jose, came and looked over our project. He needed us to make copies of the floor and electrical plans, including any changes we are considering for subsequent remodel phases. He took care of most of his venting/roof penetrations today. We still have to figure out exactly where the furnace is going before he can place the flue vent. [...]

[...] We’ve had to spend a lot of time, money, and effort since our remodel began in earnest to keep the project moving along briskly. Although we’ve never completely given up “family time” in the evenings, we have given up just about all of our hobbies, time with our friends, and just relaxing occasionally during daylight hours. I’ve been overwhelmed by the project at times, but thinking about some of the things I’m really looking forward to once phase 1 of our project is completed will always get me out of my funk: [...]
