About six months ago, we moved into the Arden Park neighborhood of Sacramento. I had heard that there was a web site for the neighborhood, but when I googled “Arden Park” most of the results were outside of California. It turns out that it was hiding in plain sight!
ArdenPark.org is a community bulletin board running phpBB software. There hasn’t been much traffic recently, probably because people weren’t aware of it. Hopefully this post will help boost the page rank of the site and/or direct interested viewers to it.
While I was searching for Arden Park’s community web site, I came across several related sites:
- Save Our Street Trees has information on caring for the Modesto Ash trees, along with pointers for tree replacement. (This is the “browser-aware” site I wrote about several days ago.)
- The Arden Park Recreation & Park District has information on the two parks in the neighborhood as well as services available at the district office, board meeting schedule, etc.
- Arden Arcade Community Alliance covers the larger Arden Arcade community, which consists of the unincorporated area between Carmichael and the City of Sacramento. This may also be the group advocating cityhood for the area, but I’m not sure about that.
- Wikipedia has a (bot-generated?) article on Arden-Arcade, California.
