Last week I picked up a new game, Candamir: The First Settlers.
I’ve played it a few times so far, and it’s pretty good. I thought I would share some analysis I’ve done on the tiles and movement cards.
- The tiles:
- 2-player–This group of tiles contain the following bonus equipment and victory points:
– Necklace (+2 Charisma) on a Plains tile
– Bow (+2 Agility) on a Forrest tile
– Boots (+2 Strength) on a Forrest tile
– Shield (+2 Prowess) on a Mountain tile
– Cattle on a Plains tile
– Cattle on 2 Forrest tiles
– Goat on 2 Mountain tiles
- 3-player–This group of tiles contain the following bonus equipment and victory points:
– Bow (+2 Agility) on a Mountain tile
– Boots (+2 Strength) on a Plains tile
– Cattle on a Plains tile
– Cattle on a Forrest tile
– Goat on a Mountain tile
- 4-player–This group of tiles contain the following bonus equipment and victory points:
– Necklace (+2 Charisma) on a Mountain tile
– Shield (+2 Prowess) on a Plains tile

- 2-player–This group of tiles contain the following bonus equipment and victory points:
- Movement cards with ability tests:
- Fight Bear–7 of the 49 movement cards have the “Fight Bear” test. Ability rolls against Prowess are:
– 6 or better: 1 card
– 7 or better: 2 cards
– 8 or better: 4 cards
- Fight Wolf–6 of the 49 movement cards (with 7 tests) have the “Fight Wolf” test. Ability rolls against Agility are:
– 6 or better: 3 cards
– 7 or better: 2 cards
– 8 or better: 2 cards
- Catch Snake–9 of the 49 movement cards (with 10 tests) have the “Catch Snake” test. Ability rolls against Agility are:
– 5 or better: 2 cards
– 6 or better: 3 cards
– 7 or better: 2 cards
– 8 or better: 3 cards
- Help Lumberjack–7 of the 49 movement cards have the “Help Lumberjack” test. Ability rolls against Strength are:
– 6 or better: 1 card
– 7 or better: 4 cards
– 8 or better: 2 cards
- Fight Bear–7 of the 49 movement cards have the “Fight Bear” test. Ability rolls against Prowess are:
